What kind of backups does Hedge create?

Hedge always creates full and complete copies of your source material. It either transfers a whole disk, or a folder on a disk.

Hedge does not sync or create incremental backups. If that’s what you want to do, you can use

  • Time Machine, for local backups of your system
  • Backblaze, for complete online backups of your system
  • Dropbox, for an online archive of your files
  • BitTorrent Sync, for creating backups on remote Macs or a NAS.
  • Chronosync for local backups and NAS
  • rsync, if you're comfortable with Terminal.

Hedge for Mac is not affiliated with these companies in any way, we just love using their products!
